What is the sustainable energy evolution?
Our society is undergoing an historic transformation. The resources that powered the 20th century are limited and finite. Their supply is unsustainable in the long term. And their use results in undesirable environmental impacts.
As a result, we are now deliberately transforming our energy system by harnessing the clean, unlimited and infinite power of the wind, sun and water.
And, as it has since 1979, The Energy Co-op will continue to meet its members’ needs by seeking and supporting novel solutions to energy challenges.
We are more than a a power company – we are a community comprised of like-minded individuals who are using their choice in power companies to make a difference and positively impact the environment and reduce carbon emissions. Our plans provide an affordable alternative to fossil-fuel-based power. Keep your energy dollars local, support our community and use your choice to power the movement!
ABOUT rng
Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) is biogas produced and recovered at organic waste facilities (for example, landfills and wastewater treatment plants). RNG can be used to heat your home or business and for cooking just like conventional natural gas—except without the damage caused by drilling and fracking. So, it’s a sustainable resource and more friendly to the environment.
No drilling, no fracking.
SERVICE CONTINUITY
When you enroll in The Energy Co-op’s RNG program, there is no interruption in your gas service. Your utility will continue to deliver gas to your home or business and bill you for it, just as it does now. The only difference is, you will join other Pennsylvanians who are not only concerned about drilling and fracking in our state, but are doing something about it.
