100% Renewable Energy for PECO, PGW, and PPL Customers

Purchase Your Energy from a Locally-Based Cooperative

The Energy Co-op was founded in Philadelphia’s Mt. Airy Neighborhood in 1979, and has  been based in Philadelphia ever since. The Energy Co-op is a local supplier, meaning that we only operate in Pennsylvania, unlike most suppliers on the energy choice market. The Energy Co-op currently supplies Renewable Electricity to PECO and PPL customers, Renewable Natural Gas to PECO and PGW customers, and Home Heating Oil to residents of Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, Philadelphia, Schuylkill, and York counties in PA, and New Castle county in DE.

SUPPORTING PENNSYLVANIA’S GREEN ECONOMY

The Energy Co-op is dedicated to supporting local economies in Pennsylvania – sourcing 100% local wind and solar power through our EcoChoice 100 Pennsylvania plan keeps your energy dollars directly at work within the Commonwealth. Unlike large, national suppliers that rely on unbundled, out-of-state environmental credits, The Energy Co-op ensures your electric bill directly supports regional wind turbines, Pennsylvania solar arrays, and local green job creation. Choose locally generated electricity to actively displace fossil-fuel-based power on our regional grid, reduce local air pollution, and strengthen Pennsylvania’s transition toward a sustainable, resilient economy!
