Joanna Hecht is the Pitch & Pilot fellow with the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Innovation and Technology, where she is working to implement a program of the SmartCityPHL Roadmap. After serving in the Peace Corps in Ethiopia, she earned a Masters in Public Affairs from Princeton University. From there, she focused on supporting early-stage clean energy projects in East Africa at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. To continue engaging in renewable energy access closer to home, Joanna joined the board of The Energy Co-Op after completing the Young Involved Philadelphia board prep program. Joanna was formerly the Partnerships Coordinator at P’unk Avenue, a Philadelphia web design and development firm.
