Introducing: The Current

By Morgan Pitts 9/17/2018

We are excited to launch The Current, The Energy Co-op’s new blog. Here you’ll find relevant and interesting stories about energy, sustainability and happenings at the Co-op and in the community.

At The Energy Co-op, we don’t just provide our members with clean, renewable electricity, affordable home heating oil and renewable natural gas, we are also committed to educating the public about energy, sustainability and cooperatives. Energy touches every aspect of our lives. From the electrons that power our smartphones to the air we breathe, the way our society consumes and produces energy is central to modern life. We believe that empowered, informed energy consumers make better decisions for themselves, their communities, and the planet. The Current is just one part of our effort to empower and inform area residents.  If you have ideas for topics you’d like to see us cover, please email us at info@theenergy.coop.

In addition to our digital presence, look for Co-op Crewmembers at area events. We’ll be out in the community talking about energy and the environment and recruiting new members to join the only nonprofit, community-based energy supplier in the region. Try your hand at a game of Energy Jeopardy to test your knowledge and learn more about how electricity is generated and delivered to you. If you would like to see the Co-op Crew at your community or organization’s event, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@theenergy.coop. We’d love to come.

As always, if there is any way we at The Energy Co-op can better serve you, please don’t hesitate to email us or give us a call at 215.413.2122.
