The Energy
Cooperative Advantage
-
Thousands of
members combine to create considerable group buying power amounting to
significant savings on heating oil, without giving up service or
quality.
-
Our EcoChoice100
electricity comes from local, renewable, and actually generated sources
– not investments in power that will be generated in the future or that
is produced thousands of miles away.
-
We are the
largest biodiesel distributor in the area and have recognized
industry-leading expertise.
-
Our priority is
our members - You’ll talk to a real person every time you call.
As a nonprofit cooperative, we are
owned and controlled by the consumers who use our services – that means you,
our members. For over 30 years we have forged the relationships and
expertise to help members save money on energy and gain access to
alternative energy sources and valuable information about the energy
industry.
According to the
International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), a cooperative is, “an
autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common
economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned
and democratically-controlled enterprise.” Cooperatives “are based on
the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity
and solidarity. In the tradition of co-operative founders, co-operative
members believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social
responsibility and caring for others."
