PA DEP announced their latest Alternative Fuel
Incentive Grant (AFIG) winners and The Energy Cooperative won two awards –
one on behalf of five school districts and municipalities served by Krapf
Bus Companies and another for a coalition of 9 schools across three
counties! All told, over 1,100 buses will be running on biodiesel next
school year! A big thanks goes to the DEP and our fleet members for making
this possible.

We distributed our 1,000,000th gallon of biodiesel to our fleet members! That’s 1 million gallons of
diesel fuel displaced and represents a reduction of 8,060 tons of CO2, an
equivalent to planting over 10,000 trees in the rainforest!

Kelley Energy has changed their name! They are now Superior Plus
Energy Services. For now, all contact and pricing information remains the
same. Stay tuned for further updates in late Spring or early Summer.

The Co-op strongly recommends that all members
enrolled with Able Energy consider switching to an alternate supplier while
we continue to investigate the service disruptions and pricing discrepancies
that all Able customers are currently experiencing.

Able Energy is currently experiencing delays
with will-call and automatic deliveries as well as problems with their
telephone systems. If you are an Able customer and are in need of
immediate assistance, the Co-op will do its best to help. We will provide
updates as we have them.

The Board of Directors was reelected by a quorum of the membership at this
year's Annual Membership Meeting and by in absentia ballots. Thanks

Great News! We recently completed the initial phases of an intensive
strategic planning process. We would love member feedback before the 2010 -
2012 Strategic Plan goes for approval at our December board meeting. If
you're a current member interested reviewing draft plan, please call or
email us to request a copy. Copies will also be available at the 2009 Annual
Membership Meeting on 11/16.
